BIG HUGE UPDATE part 2
Before I go any further Kaityn's name is pronounced KATE-IN. A different spelling would be Katen. We just like to be different and challenging....haha. =) Kaityn Jenieva-Faith (Jenieva: pronounced Geneva- she's named after her great grandmother) and the kids chose Faith. Diya told me that they chose Faith because they had FAITH in me that I could make it through the rough pregnancy and they had FAITH in God that He would guide us through. Bless their heart! I truly have amazing kids! ♥ them!
Anyway....on with my story....
The kids came to the hospital and met Kaityn. They all (especially Diya!) just adored her! Diya got to come and meet Kaity before any of the other kids. It was special for her! =) My parents, Janice, Ketryna, and the kiddos all came to meet her. It was very nice!
Kaity and I were released to go home on June 29. It was 3 weeks to the day since I had been home! I was sure excited to get home! Of course the big deal of the day was that Baby Kaity had NO clothes small enough for her to wear home! Deep went on a hunt for preemie clothing. He hardly found anything at all! He went to at least 5 stores and finally at a Carters store they had a small section with preemie clothing. He bought everything they had for a girl! So he got her clothes just before we left the hospital!
Kaity was very fussy at home. I have never had a newborn be that fussy...so I wasn't sure what was going on. While we were in the hospital she had a couple of gaggy/choking episodes. The nurses assured me it was due to "fuzz balls" from the amniotic fluid. When this happened her body stiffened up and she turned red. She wasn't able to get a good breath in. It scared me terribly. The nurses checked her each time, and said it was "normal." So back to her first week home. She was fussy. We had a few weight checks. Before we left the hospital she was 4lbs 11 oz. She dropped down to 4 lbs 5 oz. We had a weight check 2 days late later she had gained 1 oz (this was Thursday) up to 4 lbs 6 oz.
Kaityn's first week home was a HOT ONE!!! We ended up taking a "stay-cation" to a hotel near here. Our house was 90 degrees inside...way too hot! So we planned to go stay in this hotel for the weekend...Fri-Sun.
7/7/12: Saturday morning Kaity woke up early. Very early in the morning she started having a seizure/choking/not breathing episode. She had about 5 episodes right in a row. She would go about 30-45 seconds without catching a breath. Her whole body would stiffen up, eyes would get huge, she turned BRIGHT red all over her body, her lips turned blue, and once she could get a breath she would let out the most terrified/terrifying scream. It was so incredibly heart breaking to see our baby like this. I woke Deep up because I was so scared. He talked me down....I was completely ready to call 911. Had we of been home I probably would have. So fast forward a few hours...I noticed Kaity had a "barky" cough. So I called her pediatrician's after hours phone number. Her pediatrician told us to take the baby to the hospital ER. At the hotel Deep had taken the kids downstairs to swim. So I went down and explained to him that we needed to go to the ER. They all got out of the pool, got ready, and we headed home then toward the hospital. Thankfully we had Janice and Ketryna here still. They stayed with the kids so we could both take Kaity to the hospital.
We arrived at the hospital in the evening. It was before dinner time. The triage nurse checked Kaityn's vitals. Immediately we were walked to a trauma room. Her heart rate was dropping very low...like 50s when it should have been well over 100-120. Her O2 was low, and her respiration count was decreased. We got followed into a trauma room with a peds crash cart! The room filled up with people...quickly! They got my itty bitty baby hooked up to lots of monitors and an IV. A neonatologist came to check her out. They did lots of tests. The decision was made to transport her to Children's Hospital of Michigan AKA Detroit Children's Hospital. She HAD to be transported via PANDA One. (Pediatric and Neonatal Dedicated Ambulance). So we waited on PANDA One to get to Huron Valley to transport her. They arrived between 8 & 8:30. After taking all of her info, getting her loaded and such...we were on the road to transport her at 9 PM. We arrived at CHM at 10 PM. We were taken into the ER. The first thing I remember is being bombarded by the ER staff. I remember a specific gal asking us..."Do you bed share? Where does she sleep? Was your breast covering her mouth/nose when this happened? Was her face in a pillow or blanket?"etc. The questions seemed to never end, and while I realize they are standard questions to ask of this type of situation...it was VERY overwhelming at that moment. I was trying to get in my child's ER room to be with her when they unloaded her from the incubator (that's what they transported in for the ambulance ride) as she was screaming, and this woman was blocking me from entering the room. I started getting quite angry with the woman, and it was visible on my face and in the way I spoke to the lady. FINALLY I think she sensed my anger and let me get to my child. Kaity had several tests done...from bloodwork, urine analysis, etc. The Dr. came in and spoke with us and informed us that she needed a spinal tap. I nearly broke down. A spinal tap on a 10 day old baby...this was the same procedure that left me nearly lifeless a few months earlier. I had to leave the room when this procedure was done. I couldn't handle my sweet little baby going through that. =( Deep stayed with her. He text me when they were done, and I immediately went in to be with my girl. The decision was made to move her to NICU. We got no real answers as to what was going on in the ER.
I will write our NICU story in the next post....stay tuned for part 3!

Kamdyn- 4th grade, Diya- 2nd grade, & Max- kindergarten
Yesterday we got word that the kids report cards were available on Skyward. We checked them with the kids on the phone, and we were so very pleasantly surprised!!!
Kamdyn struggled for a short bit this year, but she completed the year with all As!!! She did very well in the last 9 weeks! =)
Max did well. He is right where he is supposed to be as far as academics, and he is progressing very well on his Speech IEP.
Diya.....I can't even begin to explain how extremely proud we are of Diya....more that she should be very proud of herself!!! The last half of the year has been very hard for Diya. Since my health has taken a turn for the worst our whole family has been in "survival mode" in a sense. We have not had a lot of extra time or energy to do anything extra. Me being sick has truly taken a HUGE toll on our whole family. A few months ago Diya's teacher emailed us to inform us that Diya had not done/or turned in her homework in over a month nor had she been reading any books. Diya has always been a hesitant reader...so for her to go without reading for a month was detrimental to her education! (Please no judgements as Deep & I already hold ourselves responsible, and we worked through this issue!) It was highly recommended that Diya go to summer school so she could catch up and avoid the summer slide. We made an appt to talk to Diya's teacher & guidance counselor. We explained our family situation to both. We explained that our family is going through a lot right now, and basically we are living in survival mode. We are fighting to keep Mom (me) alive and going. Both Diya's teacher and guidance counselor understood our situation, and both offered lots of advice & offered to step in and help with Diya. The guidance counselor started meeting with Diya so she could talk to her about her feelings with me being so sick and constantly in and out of the hospital. It is important to remember that for the greater part of our kids lives Deep and I have been on our own. We have never had family close by to help out. Deep & I are our childrens' parents and that is how it is. Since I've been sick we've had people in and out of their lives. It is a big change. When we spoke with Diya's teacher she was very worried that with the advancement changes in the reading curriculum that Diya would test below or approaching grade level for reading, and the other grades would not be good either. So with Diya's teacher, guidance counselors, and the little extra effort that Deep, myself, Kamdyn, Janice, Ketryna, and my parents have put in....I am so INCREDIBLY PROUD to share that Diya tested AT grade level for reading, and her math benchmark was 95%!! She finished the year with a BANG! We are soooooooooooo incredibly proud of her, and she should be soooooooooo incredibly proud of herself!!! Diya will be doing a couple of summer reading/writing programs, and hopefully that will keep her on track for 3rd grade!!
So as of last week....we currently have Kamdyn as a 5th grader, Diya as a 3rd grader, Max as a 1st grader, and Kohen as a 2nd year preschooler! Our kids are amazing, and they should all be as proud of themselves as we are proud of them!
Kiddos, Momma & Daddy love you with all of our heart, and we are so very proud to be your parents!! =)

35 weeks!!
How far along? 35 weeks
Total weight gain/loss: -1
Sleep: OK...been taking Ambien so I've been sleeping OK.
Best moment this week: Having my growth scan this morning. Baby is measuring 5 lbs 11 oz! Having my Mom, Dad, Deep, my kids, Janice, and Ketryna come to the hospital and having Father's Day lunch with me. I got to leave L&D and go to the cafeteria for a little bit! Having Deep stay at the hospital with me, and seeing him be so very caring for me. He is the best! =) For our anniversary on Saturday he brought me up dinner from Outback. We had steak, crab cakes, baked potatoes, mashed potatoes, bloomin' onion, ahi tuna, and yummy ice cream for dessert. He also brought me calla lillies and a cute little pink teddy bear. I gotta say that I married 1 amazing man! I feel so blessed!
Movement: Baby gets monitored a couple times a day. She likes to play hide 'n seek with the monitors.
Food cravings: seafood, steak & Caesar salad =(
Gender: GIRL!!! She is for sure a SHE!!! =)
Belly Button in or out? In
What I miss: feeling good, being at home with my kids, not puking all the time.
What I am looking forward to: holding this baby in my arms! I can't wait to see her perfect little face! =)
Milestones: 35 weeks!!! WOW...WOW! I had an ultrasound growth scan this morning and she weighed 5 lbs 11 oz. She is measuring right on to a little on the bigger side! My heart is filled with so much love for this little girl. I can't wait until she is here!
Updates in general: I am at a therapeutic level of heparin. I get 2 bags of heparin a day via IV. I spoke with Dr. Puter (peri) last Friday, and she said we can induce at 36 weeks...that means in ONE week my baby daughter will be in my arms! YAY! =) I will probably be in the hospital until baby is born. Last night I started having bad back pain and having contrax every 10-12 mins. I got a vag check and I had not dilated at all, but my cervix was soft. So hopefully my body is doing something right!!! =) Kamdyn & Devas had their teeth cleaning last week. Kamdyn is CAVITY FREE!!!! Now she goes this week to get 3 baby teeth pulled so she can get her braces put on! Devas has to have 2 weak spots fixed on his 2 top front teeth. The other 3 kids go for cleanings next month. Diya had to take a few days off of cheer because she has Osgood Sclaggers...not sure on this spelling. She is feeling much better now, and she is back to her regular practice schedule. Max had his last football game this week. He got a cute little trophy. This week Max & Diya are doing a sports camp through our church, and Kamdyn is doing a dramatic arts camp through WLCSD.

32 weeks!
I have had a very rough day. I've been very moody & emotional. I wrote parts of this blog at various points through the day so there is a huge possibility that some parts won't make sense. Also I didn't proofread or spell check. So overlook my goofy errors.
How far along? 32 weeks
Total weight gain/loss: +5, but this is mostly due to swelling
Sleep: While on our "babymoon" I didn't sleep well at all. I slept better last night in our bed!
Best moment this week: Deep & I going on our trip! We visited Bay City, Mackinaw City, Mackinac Island, Petoskey, and Alpena. We had a wonderful trip! =) Seeing Baby BGC in ultrasound at her growth scan. Last Friday she weighed about 4 lbs and was measuring nearly 2 weeks ahead! =)
Movement: She hasn't been too active the past few days. She has had the hiccups a lot lately.
Food cravings: seafood steak...both which are very yucky to puke. =(
Gender: GIRL!!! She is for sure a SHE!!! =)
Belly Button in or out? In
What I miss: Sleeping well, feeling good, having energy, enjoying abottle...glass of wine. ;)
What I am looking forward to: Holding this sweet baby girl in my arms! =)
Milestones: I am at 32 weeks which means that if the baby had to be born soon she would most likely be okay. Of course it is better to keep her "baking" as long as possible.
Updates in general: I had an appt last Friday with my perinatologist. We had a long talk about when is the best time to induce. She said that it is best to keep the baby in as long as possible, but we have to find a happy medium. We need to make sure that I keep the baby in until she is safe to be delivered, but keeping me healthy and sane at the same time. I have a terrible rash on my belly. It is very itchy all the time. My peri thought it could be an allergic reaction to the Lovenox injections I had been giving myself in the belly. She spoke with my hematologist, and he recommended that I change injection locations. My peri told him that I had started to do the injections in my legs a few days ago. My hematologist told my peri to tell me that "you are a genius!" I got a giggle out of that! My peri ordered some bloodwork to check bile acids (checking for cholestasis) and a few other tests that the hematologist wanted done. My peri told me that my OB tells her frequently that I look very good and healthy. She said I do not see a good/healthy person when she looks at me. I agreed...I do not look good or healthy! I was very frustrated with knowing that my OB said that. My peri wants me to see a neurologist for my headaches, and she also wanted me to see a GI dr. to talk about having a NJ tube placed. I spoke with my OB about the NJ tube today, and he said that the NJ tube comes along with other yucky risks...so he said he doesn't recommend me getting it. My peri also wants me to try the zofran sub-q pump even though zofran causes me to have horrible headaches. My OB ordered the zofran pump today...so we will see how that all works out. I have to call tomorrow to let my home health company to arrange for delivery & training of the sub-q pump. My OB put me on a few new meds to try out. So we will see how (or if) they work. My OB gave me some topical cream to put on my tummy for the itchy rash.
I am now doing NST 2 times a week at labor & delivery in the hospital. Last Thursday I contracted the entire time I was on the monitors. The on call OB checked me and did the ffn test. My cervix is closed thick still.
We had a parent meeting for Diya's cheer tonight. We have decided to add a class for her to focus more on her tumbling. So she will have stretch class 3 days a week, tumbling class 1 day a week, and practice Sun & Tues. She is a busy busy chica! She is doing very well with cheer! =)
While we were taking our "babymoon" my parents, cousin Janice, and (her daughter) my cousin Ketryna came up to help take care of our 5 kiddos. The kids all had a great time while we were gone. Ketryna brought her dog up with her, and the kids LOVE Jezzebelle. =) I miss having doggies for our kids!
While we were in Mackinaw City they had a fireworks display. Deep & I were walking hand in hand down the main st. watching the fireworks. At that very moment life was absolutely PERFECT...except I missed my kids.

*life update *
I know it has been a while since I've updated. I think about every day that I need to write in my blog, but usually I have so much depressing stuff going on that I get sad just thinking about it. I will update on everyone....
So here we gooooooooooooooo (in the words of Toy Story)....
I spent 4 days in the hospital due to strep throat. Here's how that week went...Tuesday late night I noticed my throat was itchy and hurt a bit. By 1:30 AM Wed I was running a fever of 101. I took some meds and went back to bed. At 6 I woke up with a 103 fever. Deep made me a Dr. appt for 4 PM. I went to my Dr. appt and he sent me straight to the ER. I got admitted to L&D for 4 days. They had to speculate that my PIC line was infected due to the high fevers. It was a rough hospital stay. Thursday I was in so much pain they did a spinal tap. My head started hurting RIGHT after they did this procedure. Thankfully my lab results from the spinal tap were negative. However the spinal headache was enough to nearly push me over the edge. My strep culture results came in on Friday. I had strep throat. Antibiotics were started and by Saturday I fell well enough to go home. Tuesday I had an OB appt. I gained 3 lbs! My head was hurting so badly that my OB scheduled a 2nd spinal tap to do a blood patch. I went that afternoon for the blood patch. They do a spinal tap and then put your blood in to patch the potential leak of CSF. I had the spinal placed, and then they had to draw 20 ml of blood. They stuck me 3-4 times and got nothing. The Dr. came around to help. They got a vein in my hand and to get enough blood they wrapped their hands around my arm and "pushed" the blood down toward my hand. They got 18 ml of blood. The Dr. put it in my back, and they laid me down quickly. They kept asking if my head felt better. Honestly I couldn't tell...I was in a lot of pain in my hips/shoulders. By the time I stood up I knew my headache was better! THANK GOD!!
My mom came and stayed with us from Thurs-Tues. She came up while I was in the hospital, and stayed until Tuesday. The day after she went home my cousin came up to stay with us for a week, and then she came up and stayed 2 weeks with us. =)
My most recent issue has been the nodules on my legs. I ended up in the ER a few weeks ago for these bumps. The ER thought it was MRSA. They started me on antibiotics at the hospital. I saw my PCP the next day. He had a second opinion of what the nodules were. He did a skin punch biopsy and some bloodwork. He wanted me to see a dermatologist. The dermatologist had a 3rd opinion. I was given a steroid shot at the dermatologist office. It did nothing. I saw my PCP the next week. He gave me a 2nd (stronger) steroid shot, and again nothing! So now I am waiting to see a rheumatologist on April 23. My PCP thinks that I have a rheumatoid or autoimmune issue going on. My bloodwork also indicates I could have a rheumatoid issue. =/
My bloodwork also showed that I am malnourished. Which wasn't a huge surprise because I have been SICK SICK SICK for almost 4 months! So the recommendation was made to start me on TPN. I got my OB approval, nutritionist approval, and home health care pharmacist approval...I thought yay I am getting somewhere. HA the joke is on me! So far the TPN has made me soooooooooooooo sick! I lost even more weight! I was hardly able to get out of bed. It has been rough.
I am 25 weeks pregnant! The baby is getting quite active! A few days ago I felt her hiccuping! <3 Only 3 weeks until my last (VERY LAST EVER!!) trimester starts! Deep and I had already decided that 6 is enough for us! Then this pregnancy has been VERY VERY VERY rough on me. I can't go through this ever again. Even my OB said I shouldn't get pregnant again.
So in other VERY exciting news....we have our preapproval in hand for a mortgage!!! YAYYYYYYY!!! The house hunt has been much less exciting. The area where we live currently is the area we'd like to stay. There are hardly any houses for sale in this area. Once they are listed they sell in 3 days, and it is a sellers market in this area. NO negotiation on price at all. OY!
So now I'm just kinda hanging out waiting to see how things go on both my health & the house hunt!
Deep is super busy all the time...work, travel, school, handling new house purchase stuff, etc. He has his final for his class next week. We are hoping and praying that it goes smoothly for him! =) He had a great article posted in the Indiana Tech alumni publication. Here is the link to that publication: (go to view page or scroll to page 32)
http://indianatech.edu/alumni/Documents/trends/2012-Spring.pdf
He has a full page photo! The article is great! It is inspirational! What can I say I am one proud wife!! =) I am so truly blessed to have this amazing man in my life! =)
Kamdyn seems to be struggling with school a bit this year. She is in an awkward phase right now. She's growing so super fast we can't keep shoes to fit her, and I can't buy her clothes without her trying them on as she seems to have skipped sizes. Her teacher told me that she is kind of a needy kid who has a hard time with the independence of "pre-middle school" school. (they started changing classes for subjects this year, and they are required to be much more responsible for themselves (work, organization, supplies, etc.) Her teacher also told me that she is hopeful it will "click" for her one day soon, and when it "clicks" in this age group they seem to "soar!" I'm hopeful!
Diya is a superstar!! =) She just finished her 2nd round of gymnastics, and she is soooo super bored with it! It isn't fast paced enough for her. So we have decided to sign her up for competitive cheer/dance. She is so excited! In school she is doing well. She is one lazy kid when it comes to things we ask of her. She will try to get someone to "help" (i.e.do her homework for her) any chance she gets. Diya is a social butterfly. She knows/recognizes someone nearly everywhere we go.
Max is doing great! Aside from his occasional snarky behavior, he seems to be doing wonderful! He is going to play flag football this spring. He has his first practice 4/12/12. He loves kindergarten, and has a few friends that he talks about frequently. He had his first sleepover with one of his friends a few weeks ago. He had a great time! =)
Kohen is a busy little bee! He LOVES preschool! =) He has found a new interest...my iPad! He plays my ipad all day long...well until the battery dies. Then we plug it in so he can play it again asap! We have to take it with us everywhere we go. It is the only (calm) way we can get him to let us buckle him in his carseat. OY! He is learning a lot from it though...so it's ok in the end...I guess! =) Kohen LOVESSSS Thomas the Train! He loves watching train videos on YouTube, and let me tell you he can bring up youtube on his own & find the train videos! Kohen went to the dr. on 4/9/12. He weighed 29.6 lbs and was 36 1/2 inches tall! Kohen is growing! =)
Devas is starting to talk! He can repeat lots of sounds/words. He says "tank (long pause) dew" which means thank you. It's too cute! He is 18 months old now. Devas is super busy and always getting into some kind of mischief. Oy he keeps us busy! He can climb super fast! He always doing something goofy. He loves to play outside. He will push and shove to be the first out the door. Devas LOVES to give kisses. He even has a cute little "kissy face!" It's super cute. He will put his hands on your cheeks and turn your head his way so he can give kisses. He's such a lovey little guy! =)
So that is our update....hopefully soon we will have some exciting house news, and of course I would love to start feeling better. Time will tell. Please remember us in your prayers as we go through this crazy time in our life.
We have also (kind of) started a dog hunt. We promised Max a long time ago that once we have our own house we would get a dog. He really wants a big dog, and I am so in love with Goldendoodles. So we have been browsing looking for Goldendoodles. I can't wait to be in our house so we can fulfill his wish, and get the kids a dog! =)
Thanks for catching up on us! =)

Catch up...
I'm way behind. I haven't done the blog dare in over a week. I haven't really done much of anything for the past week. I've been feeling VERY bad!
Deep traveled to Canada on the 26 & 27. He was home for the weekend, and then Monday he left for California until Friday. My parents visited during this time, and let me tell you it was WONDERFUL to have them here. I am so thankful!
Kids are all doing well. Typical kid struggles with them, but nothing we can't handle.
Deep is doing well. Enjoyed his trips. Said Cali was nice. He was super busy while there so he didn't have much down time to enjoy the area.
I on the other hand...haven't been fairing too well. Still on my picc line & IV hydration (w/meds & multivitamin) every day. I've been vomiting more than I had been.
I had an ob appt yesterday. I lost 2.5 lbs (in 2 weeks..which is better than previous weeks of losing 4 lbs in 6 days.) BP was 112/70. We heard BCG's heartbeat with a doppler. Dr. said to keep doing what we are doing. I asked about an ultrasound. Dr said how about next week! YAY! So hopefully BCG will cooperate next Monday, and we can see gender! =) I am excited!
That's all the big news for the time being. I will try to get caught up..soon!

OY! Update...Feb 1
The BIG news is that I am 15 weeks pregnant! I feel like time is flying by in general...but every day seems to last forever. If that makes any sense...
I am having a really bad day. I thought I felt a bit better for a few days, but today I am right back to AWFUL! I haven't eaten much until a bit ago. I tried cheese & Ritz crackers as my OB nurse instructed me to...it was a NO GO! Badddd news for Mama's belly! I had gained a couple of pounds, but I've lost it all again. The good news is I'm getting skinnier...just not in a healthy way. I'm still getting 3 liters of LR, meds, & vitamins daily. That is the only thing keeping me going! Less than 2 weeks until that "magical 17th week) that my OB keeps talking about. I know Diya's preg wasn't as bad as this one, but with her I was very sick until the day she was born. So I'm nervous to see if I will be a bit luckier this go around. In other BIG NEWS....I go Feb. 18 to a "fun ultrasound" place to find out if our little munchkin is a boy or girl! So far most people say Girl. Any guesses? Either way this baby will have a K (first) J (middle) name. Which brings up a funny story. When I was pregnant with Max I was on an email group for ladies that were TTC (trying to conceive). The girls had given the wee baby the nickname Max...before knowing if he was a he. So all along he was called Baby Max. A friend from the email group tried to come up with a K or D name that had Max in it...you will never guess one of the options thrown out....Klymaxx...isn't that GREAT!! I laugh every time I think of that story!
In other news, Kamdyn had her follow up orthodontist appt today. This ortho is growing on me. I wasn't sure I liked him at first, but today showed me he isn't just out to get my $$$. I have met with other orthos...each of them wanted me to schedule an appt that day to get the braces on. I choose this office because it was referred to us by a friend, and truly their office is REALLY cool...it's the kid in me. ;) We went in 3 weeks ago for her initial appt. They did xrays & photos of her teeth. Today we were supposed to go over a treatment plan & $$$. The ortho completely surprised me and said that he wants to save Kamdyn time & pain and save me money. He wants to wait until she looses 3 more baby teeth and her adult start to grow in before he puts braces on. That way she will only need 1 set (phase) of braces. He said it is our choice if we want wait for her to loose the teeth naturally or if we wanted her dentist to pull them. He was going to send a referral to the dentist just in case we decided to have them pulled. He said take all the time we need...that it isn't a big rush. I am not sure which route we will take. The kids need to go in for a teeth cleaning...so I think I will talk to her dentist about it then. He is very honest with me so I trust his opinion.
Diya is (for the most part) doing well with her new gluten/wheat free diet. She did share with my mom that she hates her life because she isn't able to eat normal anymore. That was a few days ago. I'm really trying to get her some products that she likes that are gluten free. So far we've found some chocolate cookies, chocolate covered pretzels, mac n' cheese (her favorite food ever!), bagels, and cheesy poofs. The cheesy poofs are REALLY good!!! She scarfed them down quickly. Most of these products we have bought at Meijer! They have an AMAZING gluten free selection! She has chicken nuggets, donuts, and a few other products to try. Our other big gluten free stores are Trader Joes & Whole Foods. Meijer & Whole Foods definitely have the better selections.
My parents have been here for almost a week. Deep had to travel to Canada last week, and he is in California this week. I am SOOOOOOOOOO INCREDIBLY THANKFUL that my parents were able to come & help me. I have pretty much stayed in bed the entire time they have been here. It has been such a relief to have daily help. =) Deep will be home Friday.
Last night I was able to take Kamdyn out for a bit. We grabbed dinner & then went to a High School girls basketball game. It was a Catholic High School in Livonia named Ladywood. It's an all girls school. Kamdyn had fun! She got a free tshirt & hot dog, chips & soda. It was nice to spend some quality time with Kamdyn.

UGH!
I HATE BEING SICK! Just needed to let that out! Since being diagnosed with hyperemesis gravidarum a couple of weeks ago my life has gone out of control! I have not kept ANY food and maybe 12 ounces of fluids down. I've been to the ER 2 times. The first time my OB sent me from his office. The 2nd time I passed out and was rushed to the ER. Yesterday I had a nurse come to my home and start an IV on me. As of now I get IV hydration w/ phenergan & multivitamins 2 times a week. I see my Dr. on Monday. I am really struggling. Deep spend most of the week working from home. I spend most of my time in bed.
For a few hours after I had my first IV treatment I felt like a new person. I still could not keep food down, but I felt OK. I did a load of laundry and *insert drum roll here* even took a shower!! Then I crashed...hit a wall...felt awful again. So back to bed I headed. It's encouraging on one hand and equally as discouraging. To think that I will have to wait until next Tues. when I get my IV to feel half human again...REALLY SUCKS!
I have been fantasizing about eating a HUGE meal. I make myself so hungry. I think I am romanticizing how amazing it would be to eat a yummy meal and keep it down!!
I will update after my appt. on Monday.

Diya's test results are in!
So I got the call Thursday that Diya's big test results are in! I tried to get an appt. to see the Dr. before the end of the year, but there was none available. So we go in Jan 9 to get the results. I keep analyzing things in my head...thinking if everything was normal would they have us come in or just tell me over the phone? I was telling Deep last night that I'm a little worried because what if she does have celiacs...that's a big undertaking to change her whole diet. She was also tested for food allergies. With Kamdyn having a peanut allergy, Deep having an allergy to bananas & tomatoes, and Diya with issues already- eczema & throwing up after eating...I'm way nervous!

OY & an a very random update!
Today I am home with a sick little guy! Kohen was up all night coughing until he threw up. So we are home today while the rest of the family are at church. I am starting to feel a little down also. My throat is hurting, and I feel wiped out!
It is raining here today. It looks so dreary outside.
Kamdyn had a basketball game yesterday. She played for a few minutes...she is the youngest, smallest, and most afraid of the ball *;)* on her team of 4th, 5th, & 6th graders. Kamdyn had a good play...she had a steal & an assist!!! YAY! Our friends (Hoskins Family) came to watch Kam's game yesterday. She was so excited they were there! I have to say I have the very best friends!!! Tuesday she has a scrimmage against another team of 4th & 5th graders. So she will hopefully play a bit more...I'm praying for an injury free game. After all, she is her Mother's Daughter! ;)
I am sure hoping that this yucky illness passes over our house quickly! I am dreading it passing from child to child!
Diya starts gymnastics in a little under 2 weeks! She is excited and can't wait!
Deep is a part of Knights of Columbus. Yesterday they gathered together to take gifts/fruit and sing Christmas carols for a local retirement home. He took Kohen & Max with him. Max handed out a banana & tangerine to the residents. The residents just ADORED Max! They wanted their photos taken with him. =) They all had a great time!
God has definitely blessed our family! I love sharing our blessings!!

Day 20 of Thanks...
WOW November is 2/3 of the way over! Only 10 more days left. My birthday is only 3 days away, and Thanksgiving is only 4 days away! My family has started making plans for Thanksgiving. I am taking pumpkin crunch...see recipe in my blog. I posted it a few days ago....and ranch mashed potatoes. YUM! I'm also getting excited for Black Friday. I haven't seen a bunch of stuff that I NEED to go get. I guess I will decide after I get a good look at the ads. Anyway...
Day 20:
Today I am thankful that Deep is my husband & my kids' daddy! He is the best daddy any kid could ask for. He provides for us, he helps me with the kids...changing diapers doesn't scare him!, he helps around the house...I could go on and on. I truly feel blessed in life because I am truly married to the VERY BEST MAN for me! =) God knew what he was doing when he brought the 2 of us together! Thanks Deep for being such an amazing man. Yes this is the second time I have put Deep for being what I am thankful for. He deserves it! Honestly, I could probably think of a reason to use him for all 30 days. I am truly blessed!

November is a month of THANKS!
So since it's November, I'm going to post something every day from now until Thanksgiving that I am truly thankful for! =)
Day 1: I am thankful for my hubby! I feel truly blessed to have the honor of having you walk beside me through this life!
I challenge you to also share something each day that you are thankful for! =)

End of 2011 already?!?
Ok so as I am wrapped up in taking care of my family I completely lose track of everything else. I keep meaning to blog. However, by the time I get to it I have completely forgotten again!
So for a good update on us...
We are still in Michigan! YAY stayed put for 2 years! Kamdyn is in 4th grade, Diya is in 2nd grade, Max is in K, and Kohen goes to preschool Tues & Thurs half days. All kids are doing fab at school. Kamdyn gets real grades this year. So far she gets mostly all A's!
Kamdyn & Diya just finished up their first year of cheer with the Commerce Chargers. I will post videos of their competition. For the most part they loved cheering. They are glad the season is over. Diya is getting ready to start gymnastics and Kamdyn is doing basketball through CYO at our church. Kamdyn hurt her knee at her last regular season game. She strained (possible grade 1 tear) of her MCL. She was on crutches for about a week, and in a brace indefinitely (at this point.) She didn't get to cheer at the playoff games due to the injury. She is on the mend though...THANK GOD!
Max is your typical little boy. He's super active, mouthy, ornery, and oh so loveable! He's much more physical than the girls..who tend to be a bit more verbal. I was a bit nervous that socially he would be intimidated. I asked his teacher how he was doing socially. She burst out in laughter. She told me that he has deemed himself the "master of his table!" She said he does very well academically and socially. *whew* At school he is on an IEP for speech. He gets speech therapy 1 day a week. He is definitely making improvements. He comes home from school with stories every day.
Kohen has really blossomed in the past few months. He talks NON-stop! He loved preschool for the first week or so. Then the next month he would cry when we dropped him off. Finally last week we had a breakthrough! He now loves preschool again! I have his parent/teacher conference this Thursday. I will try to update on how he is doing after that. Kohen was a pirate for Halloween. We had a costume for him and I was telling him about it. He told me "NO! Ko-man wants to be a pirate! Mom, pirates say arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhh!!" It was very cute! He did fabulous trick-or-treating last night. He was the cutest little pirate. He said "Trick-or-Treat arghhh” to each person.
Devas just turned 1! He is walking and repeating sounds. He holds his own in our crazy family! Devas has 6 teeth. He was a pumpkin for Halloween. He even went trick-or-treating at a few houses.
Deep is doing great! His job is going well. We had an opportunity for a quick minute to move to upstate NY. We are not leaving MI currently though. We are OK with this, and we hoping to buy a house in the next few months! YAY...big step for our family!!! Deep is doing his masters at University of Michigan. He is doing GREAT! We are all so proud of him.
I finally finished my doula classes! I have 1 more birth to complete before I can apply for certification! I have also been taking photography classes, and I am looking to start my own photography business.
OK good general update on us...stay tuned. Hopefully I will do better keeping up!
